Well, at last we got the update! No more 256M limit in linux :-)

    That's great news.

    What's next? MorphOS 1.5? ;-)

Have a nice day, and a nicer day tomorrow!

    Hi magnetic,

    Big surprises??

    I can't wait! :-D

    @everybody:
Is it necessary to download and upgrade the firmware with this firmware if I:

    - don't use Linux?
    - don't bootup in networkmode?

I'm just using my Peg for, uuh, Peg-like stuff! :-D

    Bye,

I can report that shutdown and reboot is working in Linux at least, many thanks to bPlan for this great update.
My guess is that the "ATX poweroff not supported..." dialog is hardcoded into MorphOS and we will have to wait for 1.5 for support. I have not been able to verify it yet though :(
(MorphOS does not have all the tools I need for my final year project so I'm mostly stuck in Linux for the next month or so unless the condition changes)

Why do people all the time have to associate the Pegasos with MorphOS. It's just like the stupid x86 people associating x86 with windows. I was hoping I wouldn't get that kind of closedmindedness with the Pegasos. :(

Anyway, don't reply to this please. ;)
I'm under a lot of stress currently and I'm blowing steam at everything in sight, I'm sorry.

Well, thanks to David we have Gentoo :-)
So, I can cope with his stress ;-)

Anyway, you are right that the Pegasos is much more than MorphOS. Of course MorphOS is the key product, and I like it very much. But when it comes to "serious" staff, like programming for my research, I also have to rely on Gentoo ;-)

I decided some time ago I would do my research in Java, so I can work easily in every platform. But I guess Java will take its time to land on MorphOS.

The only thing I regret is that every time I have to reboot and load linux, I have to stop the MorphOS RC5-72 client ;-)

    Bye bye!

That's right, Linux on the Pegasos is like a dream come true.

Or at least it is a very pleasant experience :)
