I have a peg1 april1 board here I want to try putting linux and/or openbsd on. Whenever I try to boot the kernel, I get a file not found error. It appears the firmware is interpreting the entire line as if it were the file name on disk. Example:

    boot /pci/ide/disk@0,0:0 di-2004.03.15 devfs=mount

I will get a response such as "file not found: di-2004.03.15 devfs=mount"

Kind of weird, does anyonebody know of a workaround?

have you tried it with renaming the file?
rename "di-2004.03.15" to "test" or any other word without
points or spezial chars. i dont know if this can help. you
can also try to rename the file to "boot.img".

    just play a little bit!
