    3. What proxy are you using? I set one up on my NAS and point to it...
    4. How do I make it the fastest device? I should have been more specific here. I have 2 SSD's in my PM, one is compatible and slower and one is faster. I bought the fastest SSD I could find and put that in as a second drive. I put wayfarer and iris and other needy software on it. Even if it is faster than the controller in the system itself it can still make a difference. For the least amount of frustration (and reboots :) ) it is best practice to put a compatible device in the powermacs. So I have a Nvidia/apple card, so the system boots perfectly and then have a non-apple 1950 Radeon. Same with the SSD, If you put in devices not recognized by the powermac, it will be almost random if it boots, I would guess the OF needs to hookup just right with timing for a successful boot. It will work 100% when it boots up with no issues, and I ran that way for a year or two but you just need to deal with reseting it until it does. Putting in the compatible as well makes the 11,2 boot perfectly every single time. This is for the powermac 11,2 only btw...
    5. How do I increase buffers? You could also go into HDConfig in system, select the partition and increase buffers changing the value and saving...

It will also help to run on a fast system if you want to daily drive MorphOS and use it for productivity. I use my system for 8 hours a day for work almost exclusevily now and it is very fast, stable, and the software is very capable.

The fastest system is still the 2.7GHz powermac AGP system, I went with a 2.5GHz PCIe single processor system. It is pretty close and faster for somethings. Wayfarer and playback of movies needs cpu power at the end of the day.

At the end of the day Wayfarer is very usable for a lot of things, much more than anything else I have tried on MorphOS for web browsing, dare I say and any other Amigaish system..

I use it daily work and fun and love it. Sure, you will run into a absolute wall with some website, as there is only so much a single processor and core can deliver, but given what it does and how well it is updated to the latest webkits. I'm frankly amazed, Jacek isn't a mortal programmer :)

Tips for Wayfarer to increase performance and make a noticeable difference (in my testing and on my system):
    1. Turn on disk cache in system.
    2. Turn on balanced for wayfarer in settings.
    3. Use a proxy.
    4. Make sure wayfarer is on the fastest device possible, even it is faster than the system can utilize.
    5. Increase buffers for the Drive.

On my PowerMac 11,2 with SSD's, doing all 5 of those items made a very noticeable improvement with using wayfarer. I have no idea which ones make more of a difference, but after I did the above it made it much more usable.. ymmv...
