Later today I will do more testing and I will try this Netlamps when I do the tests.


The X5K has an on-board ethernet port and that is what I connected to, as a side note.

I will test later running a www.testmy.net again but yesterday I was getting only 10 to 12Mbs speed for downloads over the fiber internet in Wayfarer.

Seems very off.

Is the www.testmy.net in Wayfarer not a valid test or real speed? Maybe it is off?

Of course that is faster than my 4Mbps Odyssey does in Amiga OS 4.1 LOL!

But yeh something is not right.

Once I run the test again I will disconnect the ethernet cable from my X5K and connect to my 2019 Mac Pro and run the same testmy.net for internet download speed so we can see that.

I will also try to copy the same file as yesterday from my NAS to my Mac Pro for speed.

Maybe I have a bad cable but don't think so. We will rule that out though.

I have always had slow www.testmy.net speeds on my X5K in Odyssey, normally down in the 4mpbs range, yet other computers connected to the same router get 900Mbps, one a Ubuntu system and the other a Mac.

Anyway, I will tinker some more and report back.
