I think only thing can speedup Wayfarer and Iris (mail display) is JIT. But we have only once core and JIT benefits more from multiple cores. I think even it we get JIT it will not be super much more faster but just a bit.
IceFS was really a hopeful project but it never became stable, has heavy bugs. It was only fast when the disk was almost empty. After filling it it started to become unstable and many erorr requesters pop up. Yes, if Leif could repair it so that it gets stable that would really be good. But is he still doing something with MorphOS?
