Sounds fun. I am more of an Amiga OS 4.1 user since I own an X5K but I installed MorphOS 3.18 on my X5K this year and on the fence about buying the full license.

Maybe some articles of how folks are using MorphOS now as "everyday" computers and show off what they use it for may help entice folks like me to buy the full license and use MorphOS more.

I used to have a Mac Mini with a full license but sold that LONG ago and more recently decided to dual boot my X5K so may be a good time for me to read a Fanzine like this to get excited about what MorphOS can and does do.

    Hello TJ,

    Welcome back.

A good group of us use MorphOS for their businesses or daily productive work. It provides a great experience because of Iris, Wayfarer, PolyOrga, and other great native applications, as well as the 68k stuff that works (turbocalc, final writer, etc.) very well.

If you are going to Amiwest stop by and see Acill aka Paul Rezendes. He will be able to show you the above, and is raffling off a complete PowerMac with a MorphOS license. Look at the programs and the options and see how it works. He won't be lugging two monitors, so you can't experience that.

Chris Edwards provides lots of insight in his videos with MorphOS. He has shown how to setup dual monitors, ambient settings, Iris and Wayfarer uses. I recommend you watch those videos.

I just played with the applications and if I had an occasional question I reachout to the developer of the respective program. They are very responsive and involved. Jaca alone has put 5 good years and countless updates into Iris and Wayfarer as well as working on MorphOS itself. That is the real secret to MorphOS is the people in the community that create good stuff.

    Good luck!
