- MorphOS for the time being is single core and the best single core performance is in AMD64 -- closest ARM is Apple which would be a non starter -- affordable and "open" ARM systems (rPI and the like) lag far behind
- none of the suitable ARM systems have proper PCIe so no Radeon GPU -- what they do have is closed up GPU only supported by binary blobs
- AMD64 also has endian switching opcodes
- the AMD64 port exists in a raw state which is better than starting from 0 on ARM
- the imminent death of x86 has been prophesied for at least 35 years by now, won't happen any time soon
