    Even on very old PCs you could theoretically easily run hundreds of OS instances at the same time.



    And how does any of those instances add memory protection, more memory or multi core support? It does not. You just get all these instances with the same old limitations and issues. You still need a new operation system, which will not be compatible with old software.
