I decided to order my own pegasos II with G4 on whim. And a day around here. Yet, my country's reseller is completely out of stock and won't get any until the end of february.

Does anyone know why this is? Is the supply depleted perhaps?

Web Sales are suspended because they have no new boards to ship. The new production run will be ready for sale in Feb.
I believe this was announced at the beginning of this month.... I know it can be a little frustrating, but when you get your peg II at the end of February, you may get Mos 1.5 or Peglinux? We will have to wait to see how far the Mos team has come with 1.5. One thing that is encouraging is that several apps are listed as supporting 1.5...dnetc, pictureshow... Good Day

We're very sorry for the delays. Supply has, frankly, not held up with demand. Genesi should be prepared to ship more boards in the coming weeks, and order-taking will resume then.

Agreed. Also I am still out of board, and so are some of my friends. Was the quantity produced really this low? And if so, why?

I'm realy frustrated because of PEG II missing on my office.

I wish to have a board for febrary or begenning of march. And mos 1.5 at the same time.

as all the others told you we will see no boards until mid-March (hopeing that that date will be mantained and not again delayed..), moreover there is no official communication about public release of MOS1.5 for that date. It would be really nice, it's sure, but for now your is only a supposition, not more.
i wanted only to precise this to avoid misunderstanding from other people waiting 1.5 and the boards..

My intention was not to cause a misunderstanding. I was merely stating that with another two months time it is "possible" that 1.5 maybe part of the package. With news about new apps that are being released that have functionality that takes advantage of Mos 1.5 extensions/functions, It leads me to believe that progress is moving along steadily, I don't believe developers would write applications for 1.5 if the feature sets were not established?
Also...For those of us who have Pegasos II's we know of the quirks that we faced only a few weeks ago conserning the Bios Update, etc. I am sure that those who will get their pegs later will not have to deal with these issues... That is a good thing to look forward to!

On the other part I apologize for mistating the facts regarding the next shipment, Yes they will probably ship in early march... If they are built in late Feb.

For me it is easy to get excited I have waited for a Pegasos Machine for nearly a year and during that time I have been quietly studying, comparing, and Preparing...And Guess What? The Peg II is for Real and Mos 1.4 is Not Vapour. Their is much to be excited about....

Thanks for the positive post. We should all be thrilled for the Pegasos2. It is much better and faster than peg1. It is also very reliable. MOS 1.5 is coming they are working on it atm. Whether or not the release will coincide with next Peg2 shipment is TBA. Its important however, not to cry about it or hassle the devs! They are working hard on it. In the meanwhile in just a few months we have great new hardware, some gfx upgrade drivers, and other cool stuff. So enjoy.

For those who want a Peg2 I suggest you either

1. Order as soon as pegasosppc ordering is back up

2. Contact your local dealer to reserve one
