Get MorphOS working on the new almost released budget $599 M2 Mac mini. Or even the abandoned Intel ones. Just a thought but what a great idea it is.

Just a worn-out topic with nothing to add... The development team hasn't been too keen to Intel Macs, because there are other cheaper/better options available, but I'm sure they think all the options when the time comes. We'll just have to wait and see. I personally wouldn't want to pay extra just for a brand, which is the case usually with Apple products.

Does the M2 even have full Linux/BSD support? If not, how would you expect us to provide one with no hw reference?

Because MorphOs Devs can do wonders!

Take that as a compliment. And no, I don‘t expect MorphOS on an M2 device (albeit ist would be cool of course)

Yea Linux works, also BlazemongerOS has been working since M1. Team could reference that since it’s similar to Amiga..

Linux (Asahi distro) works...sort of. Lots of drivers are missing, no GPU acceleration etc. It's still work in progress and may not even be completed, as they have to reverse engineer the GPU drivers, no documentation from Apple of course.
I think Apple machines are such a wrong choice as documentation is close to none.

How about getting MorphOS running on x86 Razer laptops? Sexy laptops but Windows makes them very boring.

Could you just stop this nonsense?

If we ever get the AMD version it will be with these steps:

    1. one specific chipset on ATX mobo with select PCIe cards for GFX and network
    2. (much later) specific older AMD APUs making low power laptops feasible
    3. support for more current GPUs one might find in gaming laptops

This is again a case of "I bought this new hw, now you guys make sure it runs MorphOS"... Must be a 100th thread like this on mzone, though I'm sure Andreas could correct me here ;)

You'll get no argument from me about users not asking such questions about future 'exotic' hardware - as it makes no New - or even Old or Common - Sense to me. 8-D

intel has icaros, and although i am new to morph i must say i like it, icaros is not quite as polished as morph in my experieince, but it's def worth a shot for intel systems. and correct me if i am wrong, is there not already an ARM based AROS?
