Absolutely. To my surprise, I just found that there still are HDDs newly available (in EU/UK) that can be directly attached to the 68-pin UW SCSI connector of the CSPPC, i.e. without adapter. They are of the
U320 type, so use
LVD, but can usually be put into
SE mode by either auto-detection or jumper setting and thus work on CSPPC's UW SCSI controller*. These drives are from 2008 or older and range up to 300 GB:
