For such big files I use "Transfer" (FTP). Hope your NAS can do FTP. Transfer can be found in MOS-ISO Apps-directory.
This works flawless and is much quicker.
Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....
