I have a fonts problem with MorphOS 3.12.

I use the font Bitstream Vera Sans 16 (Normal size) and 14 (Tiny) on MUI. The Tiny 14 font is used for exemple on quick links on Odyssey. With MorphOS 3.11, the font display was clean but now all characters are antialisaed. You can see on the following grab the difference between MorphOS 3.12 (top of the image) and 3.11 (bottom). The "M" letters are strange. :)

I see there is now the TTEngine (and its pref file in ENVARC) but even if I desactive antialiasing forBitstream Vera Sans, this font problem still visible. In fact TTEngine seems to change nothing on my setup.

Any idea to desactive this ugly antialiasing?

Maybe the font changed? Look at lowercase "e" - it's different.

What happens if you copy the MorphOS/Fonts dir from the old install?

Copying the old fonts dir do the same things.

I have done further testing, this time directly with MorphOS 3.11 and 3.12 ISO.

The antialias problem is not present in MorphOS 3.11 ISO but in the MorphOS 3.12 ISO, for exemple for the "M".

The font used is Bitstream Vera Sans 14.

(I also use Turbo Calc on MorphOS with Bitstream Vera Sans 16 since years. And the font rendering is even more ugly since the 3.12 release).

This seems to be related to freetype.library. We'll investigate.
