I see, thanks. So am I right in concluding that the issue described in the first posting is in no way specific to PowerBooks/iBooks? (If yes, then the PowerBook reference therein is what got me confused.)
Yes and no :). Other than not native resolutions might be added automatically via DDC. If your desired screenmode isn't listed in "MorphOS Preferences - Monitors", you have to add it by yourself.
On my Powerbooks, internal display is identified as a "Color LCD" and by default it gets 8, 15/16 and 24bit native screenmodes.
