I copied the system partition on a Mac mini to a file on a Windows share. From there I want to mount it. But I can not access the partitions and files through FileImageCtrl or Mounter. I read http://library.morph.zone/Tips_and_Tricks#Copying_a_Whole_Disk_As_an_Image_File but it has not much info. What I do is:
FileImageCtrl: drag the image file here. set filesystem to MorphOS SFS because I know that it is the system partition which is SFS. Then click "Mount". nothing happens. the drive icon does not show up on Ambient screen or listers. then I hit "Unmount" and "put back", quit FileImageCtrl and try the following instead:
FileImageCtrl: drag the file here. Open Mounter. select fileimage.device. click on it. click the partition in the list and choose filesystem to MorphOS SFS. Then I click "Mount" but again no icon for the mounted partition shows up on Ambient screen and listers. Then alternatively after unmounting the file in Mounter I create a mountlist file and mount this from Shell. Again nothing happens. No new partition shows up. When I open HDConfig instesad then the file image is mounted but is empty. I have to set MBR first and create partitions. Why? It already has a SFS partition on it. A hint what I do wrong would be nice.

Are You sure that file partition is good?
Test operation on a smaller image. eg memory stick

I made copies of my 70GB drive (4 partitions) and I have no problem when mouting. I used it MorphOS and usb drive exFAT.

I copied it with Ambient from RAWDISK to the target partition, so it should be "good". I used the system partition which is just 2GB in size so not really large.
