The organizer stated on AmigaWorld that he only spent a few minutes on writing the project description, which should both explain its level of coherence and provide some insight regarding how serious the entire project is meant to be taken.

Several individuals have tried to help improve the project description before it was launched but their comments had no effect.

Pascal Papara is behind this project. Operate with extreme caution.

I'd rather ownCloud client be ported to MorphOS.

I don't trust cloud services at all anymore. They change their deals, break down, go out of business and so on. I use several external HDDs instead.

not entirely true- I listen and learn.
The KS campaign wasn't meant to be successful. It is a low-cost PR-campaign with a 20%-discount offer for those interested in such things.

I didn't spend yet a penny for promoting it. Maybe this would be enough to raise it a little.. but no. I believe when the service is "just" there it will work without bla bla and advertising.

Suggestions such as changing the type of company and names are on my list (quanta functionality will be just offered via AmiCloud).
Tomorrow I will decide after a final phone call in which country the new company will be started. In the moment the following are on the table:
uk, greece, cyprus, malta and estonia
Reason is that I wan't to offer consumer loans also and those countries offer a banking license for moderate amount of money.
My favorite one is Greece... 2nd is Estonia because of the moderate regulations.

it is more like a pre-ordering page where you get your money back and than can buy the final result with a 20% off. (or one of the rewards with a 20% off)

In the Wild Wild West that you referenced, banks would not merely have closed temporarily but closed for good and its customers would have lost all or at least parts of their savings. (Proper deposit insurance is a relatively recent invention compared to the Wild West days.)

The kickstarter went ok so far. I had a boost in Downloads and Sales and some People donated to the campaign.
Also positive if you take out the dubios offerings are the PR agencies contacting you.

Tomorrow our last teammember ends his vacation and can directly work on another bug we found after fixing another big in the client : )
from next week the work on the website will start.

So basic functionality is already done and will be released soon.

The first release will offer only basic functions like:
1. Defining a sync folder which will be synced between your Computers/Cloud
2. Sharing public links which can be downloaded via webrowser
We will start with 1GB space per user in the basic account. (beta users will get 2GB when we finish the testing phase, or the double amount of normal accounts if it will be raised)
As promised there will be no bandwidth limit for your shared files.
Basic account will cost a "one-time" 5€ with no monthly fee.
But I must tell:
For each platform you like to get the client you will need to pay 5€.

Means:
If you buy the AmigaOS 4 client, you can install it on as many AmigaOS machines you like.

But if you like to sync your AmigaOS4 machines with your Windows machines, you will need to pay another 5€ for the Windows client. Than you are free to install it on as many Windows machines you like as well.

A pro account with 10GB will follow but it will cost 50€/year (also unlimited bandwidth)
Price will not rise if you stay from the beginning. It may change for later registrations.
Whatever the Pro account will need a bit more work and I would like to offer also features like Virtual Machines.

So there will be a pool and you can try to get acces to a VM. The client will tell the server "Hey I need a VM with the following OS", the server will start a new VM with a Image containing the OS of choice". The client will run your VNC/RDP client to access the VM. Inside the VM you can store files in your AmiCloud space.
This is needed because the server will delete the "used" VM after you logout and creates a new "clean" one next time you log in.

On Amiganoids we will offer those via RDP or VNC... we will see what works better. On Windows/Mac/Linux we will use Moonlight(former limelight).

Time goes by and space will get less expensive... so it is very likely that we will double the space sooner than later.

We can provide API-access so you can make use of it in your own apps.
Same is valid for the indieGO!-Store...

BTW: To make things simpler the cloud will use the indieGO!-ID so on Broadway and AEROS you will just need to enter you ID to activate such elements... (soon and only if you bought them ; ))

With roughly 3-4 weeks in between them because we would like to concentrate a little on platform dependend Problems... if no Problems occur we will release them a bit sooner.

The MorphOS build is available now as well (indieGO!-Appstore).
Some bought already the dummy entry.. just "redownload" it again to get the real beta archive.

I have downloaded appstore for morphos to can use amicloud.
I started the store, accept the conditions and then a black window (AppStore Alpha v0002(build 16.03.2015) appears and nothing else!

Ahh.. my fault! Here is a new archive which should work:

Well. I have downloaded, installled and entering id and password.
When try to start it showns the following msg:
Table field "clientid" was not initalized!
File: AmiCloud.hws (current line: 560 - in function: gadlogin)
Perhaps a bad login ID. I'm doing It in a bad moment.
