    Hi guys,

I'm having trouble to use VNC Server.

I have 1 Mac mini and 1 Pegasos II both under MorphOS 3.7

I would like to control my Pegasos II from the Macmini.

    Both are on same network.

I run VNC server on Pegasos II
    I run ZVNC on Macmini

My IP adress of Pegasos appears on ZVNC/Macmini.

Selecting this server my mouse is grabbed and I can control the Pegasos cursor from the Macmini, but I dont have the display of the Pegasos on the Macmini.

Isn't it intended to get exported the display from the server into the client?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    best regads

Thats exactly what it should do, zvnc is not a full fledged vnc client.
Its intended for sharing mouse and keyboard not remote control.

If you want that (display support) use MorphVNC

    Thank you very much weiseb.

    @ MorphOS team :

I think it's strange to give a VNC server into the system without the full featured VNC client. MorphVNC was done by bigfoot, so why dont integrate it?

I was wrong thinking ZVNC is this client.

    I will try MorphVNC asap.

    best regards.

On MOS-distribution a full server is included: Applications/VNCServer
Works pretty fine here on Minis, Pegs and G5........
    For client I use TwinVNC....(http://aminet.net/search?query=twinvnc)
    Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....

TwinVNC seems to be the best client around. It works well with vnc4server (Debian). Including clipboard copy & paste.

For some reason MorphVNC just exits when using keyboard or mouse. I also found that also VVA (68k) works, but clipboard stuff is not compatible.

TwinVNC has one weak point: does'nt support clipboard for now...

    VNC-Server:
Main problem if useing a PEG as server: it's a bit slow, depending on screen-depth. Useing 8Bit-screens is quicker but looks a bit strange.....

Would be nice to know how it compares zu a Citrix-Server (unfortunately there is none on PPC-hardware - afaik)
    Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....

You are right - I mixed it up with file-transfer........

    Hi guys,

"VNC Server" and "TWIN VNC" works fine together.

    Thanks a lot.
