Don't hold your breath, as long as GeForce's are concerned... they are keeping the information that's needed to create a driver, for themselves. The same goes for high-end ATI's (9600,9700,9800). They have only released the internal specs for the models up to 9200, I think.

what if genesi teamed up with ati and nvidia so that the companies could make the drivers and still keep the secret of how to do so?

Now you're really dreaming mate! (sorry no offence intented) Not even the receptionist of Nvidia will take Genesi seriously, given the current pegasos user base! If in a couple or three years there are some 1 million modern (>= PPC 970) Pegs up and running, then Nvidia MIGHT consider this... I know it's sad, but giant companies like Nvidia think only about making profit and growing their market share, rather than helping the computing society move forward to having more options regarding the OS that they are gonna use.

Easy : there is no public status about ATI Radeon cards :( we don't know anything ... even with a majority of Pegasos users owning a Radeon card ...

For what I know Radeons will have not Warp3D emulation/support. When ready, 3D support for Radeons will be in JunGL, so I fear current Amiga/MOS games will not run on Peg.
    Am I wrong?

Because you can't get the damned thing to work with one of those!!! There is no 2d driver (accelerated or non-accelerated) for MOS.The best hope for Nvidia cards is a generic VESA-like driver that AmigaOS 4.0 claims to have ported from Linux.

I really hope that with the initial launch of PegII (and maybe MOS 1.5) there will be 3d and overlay support for Radeons.

the leader of the skyos project, robert, asked nvidia for a tutorial on how to make 2d drivers and tehy gave it to him.....so i don't see why they would not give it to genesi

ya just ask Nvidia explain the situation and they woiuld be cool i am sure of it. and skyos is just a hobby os i am sure that Nvidia (being a pretty nice comapny from the representitives i have met) would want to get in on it mabey even do 3d drivers (since if they do it makes them look like heros suporting the little guy and all, it would be good publicity for them)

I think that Overlay already does work with many Radeon boards, but not on (for example) 9100

I think, I heard somewhere, that the problem was, that no driver developer had such board, But I guess that should be sorted out by now, and I'd be really surprised (in the bad sense) if there was no Overlay support for 9100 in MorphOS 1.5...

Milky, there is no need to fit W3D for every card.
There is only *one* wrapper from W3D to Rave3D. Whatever card is supported by Rave 3D runs W3D also (automatically, no code has to be written to achieve this..).
    Quite simple.

Or you could simply get the source for the nv driver for XFree86 which should provide the same set of features as the BeOS driver while also supporting newer cards. (No 3D though)
