Is it possible to change the scrolling setting to make it "natural"?

If not, could you make that setting for the next release?

That's something I'd have to add to the prefs. No idea when I'll have time for that though...

That wouldn't be "natural", surely natural is for "up" to scroll up and "down" to scroll down as is already the case.

no minuous, its the other way. when you put your fingers on a sheet paper it'll scroll down when you move your fingers up.

So? What does fingers on paper have to do with it? Not only is paper obsolete but I have never "scrolled" a real piece of paper in such a manner. Paper is normally sized so that an entire sheet can be viewed without having to slide it around on the desk.

Plus, how could a scroll bar work under such conditions? Clicking on the empty area would move the handle in the wrong direction.

Better to spend development time fixing the real problems with MOS rather than making it worse like this, reversing conventions that have been used by millions of users on not just Amigas but all other computers. It make even less sense than reversing the mouse buttons or the keyboard layout, at least that might be justified on ergonomic grounds.

isnt paper natural? it was an example that actually reversing the scrolling would be the natural way of moving the content up and down just like it is on a smartphone or anything else that you push up to see the bottom. no matter if you read a book or the newspaper. you push things up to read the lower content. or even when you write stuff on a paper. its not really a concept which is hard to understand. and besides that, its quiet absurd to talk about development time in that context. this is really not going to be time consuming.

Why should MOS try to be like a phone? It is a desktop OS. The scrolling has been done in a standard and logical way for 30 years, and it is not a concept which is hard to understand.

The reversed scrolling direction is default on Mac OS X as well since quite a while now...

Really!? Yet another reason not to use MacOS then...

It also seems that their scrollbars are now missing arrows, what a lame OS.

i think it can't hurt to implement some simple features. those who like it can use it.
