Last month, I started a thread about a friend in a Bulgarian prison.

    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=10192&forum=3#113750

He has since been released and is on his way to Amsterdam as he has Dutch citizenship. He's currently in Budapest waiting about 12 hours for a flight to Munich.

I would like to know if there's anyone in Budapest, Munich and / or Amsterdam that can help my friend, David, with accommodation or money. If anyone is willing to help with money, I will repay you as soon as I can. It is just a matter of getting funds into my paypal account or whatever other arrangement we can make. I realise that a forum reputation isn't much but I have done business with a number of people on this forum in the past, selling Efika systems, and I believe myself to be fair, honest and, I hope, trustworthy.

David is an old friend of mine from high school and also a former Amiga enthusiast - quite tech savvy. I think most people on this forum would find him interesting to meet and talk to. Thank you in advance.

If anyone is inclined to help, please reply here or PM or email - which should be visible in my profile.

Hi, it's me, the person referred to in this post. I arrived at Munich hbf about an hour ago, took me a while to sort out how to get online, and i was very pleased to discover that there was a place i could plug in my laptop and phone and finally get some juice into them.

the reason i have got stuck in this position is because the delightful bulgarian prosecutors placed un-expiring travel restrictions on me and didn't lift them for 3 weeks... yes, it's cheap in bulgaria but 3 weeks living in hostels isn't.

i just realised i might have another option but if anyone here is in this city and could give me a piece of carpet to finally get some proper sleep after two nasty overnight trains and an epic fail at trying to catch the right trains in romania... that would be wonderful.

anyway, i am one of the former amiga fiends who jumped ship - i loved my a500 and 1200, and back in the day i had half a chance of learning how to program, except how much a c compiler costed and the requirement for 6 inches thick of rkms... my friend ausppc here and i helped me out a bit with that... i remember amigaguide too, i started to compose documents, hypertext was a dream come true, i think i didn't read any cyberpunk books before this though. for me now, there is nothing that the amiga offers that no modern computer lacks, dma access to memory, parallel processing, etc etc... well, anyhoo.

Unfortunate timing. A good friend of mine lives in Munich but he just happens to be out of town this weekend.

Thanks anyway - David managed to find somewhere to rest and get some free food and wifi ;). He's currently hitching rides toward the Netherlands.
