You people have GOT TO STOP doing this.
When a games company releases source code for a game, it is usually after the game has been on budget for years. It usually contains some 100MB or more of source code. You can't fit the source code of a reasonably complex game in 2.3MB :D
You can, however, fit all the code that is required or recommended for creating mods and models for the game. Quake has this "source code", Quake II, Quake III, UT, every damned FPS out there.
You make yourself look like total idiots when you run around saying "LOOK LOOK THEY RELEASED SOURCE, SOMEONE SHOULD PORT IT!!"
1) the chances of someone releasing the source for such a game is minimal at best
2) if you can't port it yourself, what makes you think anyone else will just because you jumped up and down like a weenie on a message board?
Give me a break, and give it a rest, please.
