Scaling is supported. That said, the default icon size is 64 x 64 pixels. It is worth mentioning that the default icons were specifically designed to not touch the outer borders. In other words, they are slightly smaller than the available space (excluding shadow effects). To take a look yourself, just download the ISO file and rename any of the icons to ".png" files.
