    @thread

Do we have a feel for how many Peg2s were sold during their shelflife? I've always been a fan of the HW - a pretty decent put together piece of kit I always thought...

Are they like rocking horse pooh to find/buy on the market 2nd hand?

One last question, what was the reason for phasing out, was it the dreaded RoHS legislation?

    Rude!

    P.S. I quite like it here ;-)

    Yes.

And that's also the reason to why you can't simply start up a production run and make a new batch. They made a final production run before the RoHS laws came in effect, stocked up a stash of motherboards, and the last one was sold sometime late 2006.

Well, I've MOS 2.1 on my PEG1 and OS4.1 on my A1SE (similar setup, ECC RAM, 8500LE,same hdd,...), even if the A1SE got a tiny better bench over the Peg1, 4.1 isn't efficient and stable as 2.x, it's even more true with good old apps and games.
    Keep the Faith !

Maybe one day a G4 AmigaONE when they will be debugged and without April...

...and soon for Pegasos I as well? Trevor Dickinson says:

"I purchased a A1-XE and became an AmigaOS4.x beta tester. I am also a beta tester for Pegasos I&II"

...and also at Amiwest, which took place before the publication of that interview:

    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=32683&forum=2#588297

    From his speech (45:25):

"[OS4 for] Pegasos I never really got off the ground."

So it seems he just misused present tense in the interview, unfortunately.

Heh. I'm not arguing choices made or policy, just trying to give you brief answers so you don't have to wade through 100s of posts and [polls] at AW.

What a great way to provide information and answers!

Your style of being helpful is appreciated and much more effective than providing a link to a thread that has a link to another thread, which has a link to another thread, that has a vague answer to the original question, or a response to the original statement. Probably saves you time and certainly saves the reader time.

...is still much better than providing nothing at all so that the reader would "have to wade through 100s of posts and [polls] at AW" :-)

...but instead has a specific answer or response to the question or statement the link is contextually (by means of clicking the proper reply button and quoting the related question or statement) put as a reply to.

    Those are your opinions.

I do not agree with them.

    Yes, obviously.

    > I do not agree with them.

    Could you be more specific?
