Some time ago I started a program called "MUIDesigner".
    MUIDesigner.png

Which should ease the creating of MUI GUIs or "experimenting" with designs you had im your mind w/o the need to write a program and do all the stuff by hand.

It would export the MUI GUI as a xml file like they are used in Hollywood.
Which could then be loaded by any program.

There was also planned to wrote a small program which would load the xml file open the gui and do some simple actions depending on user input, like starting a program if the user presses button xy f.e.

Creating a basic MUI tree works, what's missing is adding all those attributes/notifies etc and the preview.
    Exporting as xml/c-source was started.

I have uninstalled Flash and Java on my Mac Pro.
On my Power Mac G4 Dual C-Programs are running "normally".
    Java-Programs are slow as Molasses.

    Yeah. It's a pitty.
    The world has moved on.
Nowadays web sites are slow as Molasses, too on older hardware.

    Those are good examples.. Thanks!

And new one added to the list: RNOComics :)

I think it's pretty fine example what kind of programs you can do with Hollywood. They can be very system friendly with all traditional Amiga/MorphOS-like features.

Learning MUI is pretty easy with Hollywood's MUI Royale... I understand MUI much better now when I've made couple programs in Hollywood and I guess it would be now much easier to do MUI programming with other languages too.

Those object based factory functions (MUI) are better than this tag based stuff at Intuition.
But still, this extensive use of macros feels odd.
Don't know how MUI Royale improved this, or if at all. Maybe I should have a look.

I'll download it and check it out. I think I have a good sample size.

Hollywood became even more powerful with the brand new RebelSDL plugin.
    http://forums.hollywood-mal.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1737

Albeit MorphOS is the only Amigaish sysstem that actually can use RebelSDL yet , the MorphOS version of SDL2 could require a bit more love...
