    Exe + library

If you just update library you get native window bar buttons. With exe you dont get anything extra but it works, at least it didnt crash yet :)

Edit: some issues with window title bar buttons but have to look at it later.

How do you convert DirectoryOpus from a drawer to an executable object?

With DirectoryOpus you can (start it from Shell) but then you lose the original image...

And in DOpus it happens by opening icon information window and right mouse clicking on it to get menu where you have some options including icon type. Change it to Tool. That kas1e's archive's icon also misses the tooltypes from the original icon... as I said elsewhere it's only for testing (experienced users) and normal users should start with some other more complete and up to date installation... or from original installation media.

Don't know why (sorry, maybe developers have the right answer) but if you place dopus.library in SYS:libs/ DOpus doesn't start. I created a Libs directory inside DOpus5 dir and placed there the dopus.library and program starts fine.

At least it crashes when dopus requesters should pop up. Like when clicking selection pattern or rename buttons on lister. With this latest lib+exe... does work with earlier ones.

Confirmed. Fixed this one but now there is another bug in DOpus main exe.

    Edit: fixed.

    New build 25/04/2013.

This is normal behaviour for Dopus.
You must add an assign to your s:user-startup file called dopus:
This points to the main install folder so dopus knows where to look for its own libs, etc...
There should be a 'libs' folder and I think also a 's' folder in your main dopus folder.

Actually Magellan checks if DOPUS5: assign exists and if doenst it creates this assign itself.

I'd like to get rid of this assign but maybe in the future when we are absolutely sure there are no any side effects to anythin...

I like the Ambient desktop well enough, so did not see the need for DOpus5 to be ported, but there are many current and former Amiga users who think that Ambient is "Too Mac-Like", and they might consider MorphOS to be more "Amiga-Like" if it has a DOpus5 desktop for them to run over the top of, or in addition to the Ambient desktop.

It's not like that hasn't been possible all the while.

Topic for beta-testing and for advanced users, plz, stay on. If you dunno what tool-types is, how to run it or anything like that, plz, wait releases where everything will be clear. And there is no need to deral working-dev thread with "need or not" talks, too.

These native exes won't give proper task name to directoryopus process (when started from shell) and it makes for example d2a program fail with certain things.

With original exe you get "dopus [DOpus5:DirectoryOpus]" in tasklist, but with native exe "Background CLI [DOpus5:DirectoryOpus]".. so when started from shell it should get task name as "dopus"... when started from icon it gets same (correct) exe's name like it does with original exe too, so no problem there, but from cli.

Task name changed because compiler has changed. No changes in Magellan was done in this regard.

Not much progress lately. There is a memory trashing bug we have not found yet and I have been busy with other stuff lately.
