There is a simple explanation of beating the drum. People behind exec.pl are in a period of fascination of Google AdSense. The first stage is "let's put adverts on the page and get money for nothing". They are now in the second stage "whoops, we have not enough traffic to get any real money out of it, but hey, let's use some social engineering to turn the traffic up". Then they often put provocative posts there in a hope for more page hits. It is especially easy when there are no real news. Netbook still in the realms of hype, OS 4.2 with all its announced features, maybe next year.

Pfft! I don't believe the theory that anyone, let alone some obscure Amiga news site, makes money from Google Adsense.

I was just referring to the page hit increase caused by publishing provocative articles. As for Google Adsense, that's doubtful, yes.

More hits on the page doesn't mean that you will get more clicks on ads.

I'm not a massive officianado of rap, but it has progressed beyond the bitches and ho's stuff (not to mention Blondie). There's a lot of good British rap/hip-hop/associated stuff around over the last few years.

Progressed? It has progressed in WORSE direction.

I take oldschool NWA, Geto Boys, Young MC etc. anyday instead of modern shit produced these days.
