    Old advice: Buy a router.

If it's a 3G modem like it sounds, there are many 3G routers available nowadays. Ones where you can plug the USB modem and ones where you can put SIM card directly. Price range starts from cheap. It'll make your life much easier and you don't have to have certain computer turned on to be able get into internet from other devices. You can connect LAN computers with both wired or wireless connection to them usually just like to older routers and computers don't have to know anything about 3G. Router maintains the WAN connection with 3G itself. Those can also share possible mass storage included in 3G modem, so you might get a quiet NAS as a bonus too.

Or if it's WLAN connection and not 3G, then you just need more traditional router which can connect into WLAN and share it to LAN.

OK, I have made a tutorial for how to do this; no router was needed. It is at http://amigan.1emu.net/releases/ami-code.txt

    From your linked document:

    Quote:

    Click Host and DNS.
    Tick Hostname, enter 192.168.0.1
    Tick Primary, enter 8.8.8.8
    Tick Secondary, enter 8.8.8.4
    Click Save.

There is no need to give your MorphOS machine the netbios name of "192.168.0.1".
This gives your MorphOS machine a 'name' which is alphanumerically the same as your XP machine's IP address.
It could potentially be very bad practise (although I've yet to see the host name specified actually register with the DHCP server - it (usually?) stays blank).

Also, the bugs you have listed for MorphOS - some of them appear to be not bugs (eg icon resizing can be controlled via settings>ambient>Icon display; menu behaviour can be controlled through settings>system>icontrol>screens&desktop). The rest should be reported as bugs (if not already).

Glad you got your ICS sorted out anyway.

    Regards
