    > G5 support will allow dual-core and quad-core machines

Yes, but MorphOS will see only one core anyway. And at least dual-core machines we do have right now already (dual-G4 PowerMac).

So I conclude that for those people G5 support in MorphOS won't change a thing.

Does that refer to PowerBook support or to MorphOS 2.8 or to both? :-)

    Nice try :)

Yes, the dual-G5 Macs which don't have water cooling problems for a certainty are the ones that don't have any water cooling ;-) These are:

As your link shows "less than dual 2.5" was correct.

I'd avoid the water cooled DP2.5 version, and check any 2.7 versions,

    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g5/faq/powermac-g5-liquid-cooling-info-leaks-issues.html

But I think the later quad core should be fine, like what I've got. Although what this has to do with MorphOS, I dunno.

I would say there is a great lack of excitement in the Morphos world. Way more on os4 side (which is behind development wise go figure) Just look at MZ and the irc channel slow. There was a nice renewed feeling after the PMAC release, but imho has been very stagnant since.

RTCW should have been out a while ago...as well as some kind of update "2.8"

Even partial PB support would be cool for the user base.

The new SDK looks very promising though.

But we need more software, we are starting to act like Hyperion will all developer resources geared towards ports to alien hw..

We need apps and games ports or not..
