My simple (and probably stupid) question is - where is MOS going to be in the future? Is Genesi going to do any future platform to support MOS?

It'll go as far as the ambitions of the team...and they are pretty ambitious, who knows with the right exposure, there may even be a mainstream chance. Patience is a virtue with these os's, I rather put up with the short comings than messing with anything else. My efika plays better(quality) than the mac, and my win machine has its normal issues. If I'm not dealing with industry standard apps, then I'm on my efika (even with the relentless dropping of ext devices)

I'm totally ignorant about PegXMac and MacOnLinux but the fact that these programs exist shows that there is a reasonable chance that the PowerStation could run OS X that way. Other than that, I agree that it'd be cool if OS X ran natively on it - much like the non-Apple x86 boxes out there.

It's known that the Efika split the MorphOS team into two parts: one that liked the Efika by itself and another one that didn't and could only be convinced by hard cash from Genesi. The first group didn't object to payment as well, of course ;-)

Following the PPC464 core based PPC460SX and PPC460GTx, Applied Micro introduced the PPC464FP core based APM821xx CPU family yesterday, unfortunately reaching only up to 1 GHz.
