Hey, long time no see! I just picked up a MDD dual 1ghz Mac for MOS. I'm installing now and could use up info on shat I need after its complete. Been a long home since I've been with a real MOS system.

Welcome back! I just got done installing MOS on a 2ghz G5. So far so good. :) Also got two 1.5ghz Mac minis, two 2.7ghz G5 towers, and about 3 MDD macs..... All for backups... :)

Wow yeah I'm starting to wish I saved my G5 towers now. But hey this MDD is at least as good as my Peg 2 was if not better. I'm not sure how the 9000 pro card will do but I only had like a 7500 AGP or something before.

The good thing of the G4 Powermacs is that there are rather cheap cpu cards available to give them a little more juice. And the RAM and AGP is much faster than on Pegasos.

I figured the best option for you would be to get a single 1.25ghz cpu card (Since MOS only uses one) and overclock it to 1.5ghz. Least this way it runs much cooler. :)

Bought a spare off fleabay for $13.

Nice, I will look into it. Id love to get one of the 1.5 cards but so far the ones I have looked at are stupid expensive for what they are.

Woot!!! First boot and post on my MDD with latest release of MOS clean installed! I have to say this is very fast!! I had the first release that came out for the mini and this blows it away, even with a slightly slower CPU. I only have a 1GHZ on this MDD. Its light speed compaired to my Peg2 when I had it as well, that was also a 1GHZ G4.

I'm enjoying my Powerbook too much at the moment and spending all my free time with it (Haven't used my Linux/OSX Macbook Pro at all for the last week and it's usually my primary computer!), maybe when the "honeymoon period" with the Powerbook wears off I'll set the Power Macs up and see if I can overclock them.

I might even put my Peg1 in a case and see how it runs MOS 3.2 compared to the Apple devices if I get time.

I really reccomend saving up spare pennies whenever you can to pay for the MOS licence, it's really worth the money. I'm not working at the moment but I went without certain things for a while (mostly cigarettes and snack foods, walked instead of paying for public transport etc) and the cash quickly added up until I had enough to buy the licence. The Powerbook I have was an early birthday present from relatives so it cost me nada. :)

Yeah Im going to eventually get it registered. Im working on setting things up how I want them and maybe finding a better video card. This only has a ATI 9000 pro in it with 64MB of ram on it. Its a bit painful to use. Maybe a cheap 9800XT would be better? Or even a 9200 with 128MB on it?

My MDD has a Radeon 9800XT flashed with full rom and is not supported in 3d :(
So at this moment is better for me to keep old radeon 9000 pro.

I wondered where you had disappeared to.

If you can afford the drive to Las Vegas for the CommVEx show in July, you should try to attend. I am planning on going and will be displaying my Dual 2.7GHz G5 PowerMac running MorphOS3.2, or what ever is the latest version at that time. I'll also have my G4 PowerBook with WiFi card there as well.

I have a Star Micronics DVI keyboard, mouse, & monitor switch that works fine at switching from MorphOS3.x to any of my MacOSX, or Windows computers.

How about doing it the other way? I have the keyboard and mouse attached to my Mac Pro and want them to work on the MorphOS machine.
