I can't donate anything this month, but the month is almost over.

Tell me why this programmer deserves such a generous donation. What software has he written, other than NoWinEd?

What MorphOS native program does he plan to write, if he receives a free MorphOS computer?

I am all for donating free MorphOS computers to deserving programmers that are interested in writing some native MorphOS software, but not everyone is qualified or deserving of such donations.

Telling us the reason would be indeed a first step ... and I also see NoWinEd already runs on MorphOS.

    @Divinity,

Isn't this a G4 PowerBook of yours that you are selling to, or trying to sell to ShInKurO?

Also, you do NOT need a G4 PowerBook to develop for MorphOS3.0 and beyond. You can develop for MorphOS3.0 and beyond just as well on a G4 PowerMac, or Pegasos2 as you can on the G4 PowerBook, other than the fact that the G4 PowerBook's CPU is faster than all but the fastest third party G4's for the PowerMac.

Like I said, I am all for supporting MorphOS developers, but this is smelling a bit fishy at the moment and some answers are needed to clear the air.

    I have a my own PowerBook 17" G4@1.67(also I have PowerMac G4 fw800 dual G4@1420, and also a Pegasos2 G4@1000) to be used in MorphOS3.x

I have also an other PowerBook 17" G4@1.67 that I sell; @ShInKurO is interested to buy this one PowerBook to use and develop in MorphOS3.x.
I have refurbished this PowerBook (new two apple fans..etc.., new LCD, new battery, new ram and bigger hd) and @ShInKurO is interested in this one PowerBook refurbished model.
I give him my help (about 80,00 donated in this refurbishment) and if someone is interested to help him, It could be interesting for MorphOS users :)

Well forgive me for having MY opinion about all of this, but I think you have gone about this in a completely inappropriate manner that leaves you open to criticism and doubts.

I have asked you more than once to tell me who thie ShInKurO person is, to tell me more about his programming skills and what he plans to write next regarding software for MorphOS, but you have avoided giving me a response.

It is also very suspect to have you write several forum posts on different sites, but I have yet to see a single post from ShInKurO himself regarding wanting to purchase YOUR G4 PowerBook so that he can do more programming for MorphOS. Why has ShInKurO not posted any messages himself about wanting people to donate to him so he can purchase YOUR G4 PowerBook and his desire to do more programming for MorphOS?

If you had been open about this being your G4 PowerBook that you were selling to ShInKurO in the first place and stated that you were going to reduce the price you were asking for your PowerBook by $80, it would have been more clear what you were trying to do.

How would you feel if I was asking for donations to purchase one of my computers just because I said that I was donating it to a programmer and the programmer I was donating it to did not post any messages about even wanting this computer, or what he planned to do with it? You must admit that this should have been presented in a better way.

What is the price you are asking for this G4 PowerBook that you are selling to ShInKurO?

    ???
I'm not interested to sell this PowerBook ... It's ShInKurO interested in this one (He's interested in a notebook for MorphOS3.x); there is no problem if He want to buy an other Mac models and/or from other guy
It's time to have ShInKurO's answares about this thread ... I think ...

    Hi guys,
you are a little bit paranoic ;-)
Divinity has offered me this powerbook, but at moment I can't permit all full price he sell it, so he propose me this idea of bounty and I've accepted. I'm very busy with my work and for this I haven't written this post myself...

As Divinity and itix point out I haven't enough money to buy this powerbook and this idea of bounty was seem nice, I'm also a dev so this purchase can be a way to return on the Amiga scene in my free time eheh

Who knows me knows I written software like nowined which is usable on Mos without to have mos, so this powerbook could help me to don't break itix and other mos dev on irc about morphos development (eheheh I know to be a very nightmare with my questions :P).

What have I in mind to write on mos? First of all I should have mos to say something :) I think about a midi program like vanbasco on Windows, but I don't know if I'll good enough to write something like that in my free time;)

I can't permit meself a computer bigger than a pb because now I live in a room, and will be just difficult to have a 17" pb :_)

Not to sound negative, but at least I wouldn't donate money to bounty for getting a nice computer to someone who MIGHT do something IF he has the time...

Britelite releases MorphOS compatible demos from time to time so perhaps it makes more sense to give him a powerbook :-)

I must admit this all sounds very woooly to say the least.
And I have to agree with AmigaDave and others that he does not sound deserving of beging donated a machine.

And if I undestand correctly, the bounty is just to get him the laptop, no conditions attached. I feel insulted that somone would have the f*****g cheek to ask for this.

I want to but some new decks and a mixer, I might become a world famous drumm & bass producer, if I have the time. can we set up a bounty for me to buy these items from local shop please.

Even if I wouldn't say no to a free powerbook, I find it much more motivating to develop for a platform I've spent my own money on. And in that case I wouldn't feel obligated to work on something if I didn't feel like it :)

    Hey Simon,
Can I have a free Powerbook, too?

Honestly, you, I and David should have had more luck in finding someone with a worthwhile project.
