spidey, i stongly suggest to read ann.lu, moo bunny, amiga.org or amigaworld.net. But for this site such 'news' are completly unrelevant in current situation. :-)

    Hi tokai,

That's why I ask of a summary, I don't want to start anything with this thread :-)

So, please people, I only want a summary of things happening, no discussions or so.

Perhaps one of the moderators can close this thread after today or a few hours?

    Bye,

    Spidey

spidey, actually the whole affair is still very unclear in my eyes. So I don't think anyone can give you a summary of the things which really happened and will happen. And i personaly wouldn't care too much for such stuff, else you cannot sleep good. :-)

    regards,
    tokai

Genesi was playing with fire when they started in to this courtcase. Hope they are able to stand the heat aswell.

haven't had time to read anything yet either, and maybe today I even can't, as I'm expecting my Peggy to arrive :-D

    Well tokai,

    You're right. :-)
I just glanced a bit more in the forum of Amiga.Org and it's very unclear.
(I still like the comments of Bill McEwen which he filed at court though :-D)

    So please people:

Forget this KMOS inc.-part of the thread! :-D
If someone has read everything Bill McEwen has filed at court just now, please give me a summary of that :-)

    Bye,

    Spidey

I see you insist in not talking about this. Talking can't do us bad, can it. I'm also interested/worried in this affair, and would like BBRV to shed some light in the subject, if possible.
I think you are right when you say that this is a bit off topic. MorphZone is, by far, the best forum I've seen related to the Amiga (sorry to mention, but this applies, IMHO), being deeply informative, and with an amazing degree of helpfulness from its inhabitants. If this kind of debate would lead us to the levels of Amiga Network News (sorry to mention this site as a bad example), I too would be very worried.
So, in the end, if this is really of no interest, the thread itself will become buried in the deeps of this web site. I think it's very important not to be afraid of any topic, if we are the adult people we seem to be.
I want to express that I would be very happy to see some feedback from BBRV itself. I consider myself enough grown up to accept any negative, and think that self criticism is a key piece in progress.

    Nicely said jcmarcos,

So many times stuff were said based on speculation, it's best to hear only from BBRV what's going on.

Bill McDonalds and his playpal Fleecy are about smoke and mirrors.. I dont trust those two and truly feel sorry for A1 owners. I really do hope they get AOS4 to the owners of those systems.

It's not in the slightest off topic. The outcome will decide whether the Pegasos will or will not have AmigaDE, hopefully integrated to MorphOS.

As to the recent filings, I'd like to point out, that despite that I disagree with the reasoning of the Genesi motion for modifying the judgement, the newly filed Garry Hare declaration is almost a proof of their [Genesi] reasoning: Amiga Inc makes every attempt to separate and make AmigaOS[4] out of reach to them. Going that far, that selling their AmigaOS[except DE] to KMOS [in April 2003 if I'm correct], and failing to mention it in the proceedings.

Where are the good intentions which were there when the original contract was made?

Why didn't we know about Itec LLC and KMOS at all? They seem to play a significant role in the future of AmigaOS (whatever that is, DE or Classic or 4.0 or all or none)

I don't really mind such topics, just try to avoid being slanderous. The whole thing is about as clear as mud, and it's too easy to get into a "feeding frenzy" of speculation.

I am with Targhan here. The speculation and innuendo is not well-suited to this forum. Leave it for rumor-mills like moobunny.

    I agree with Targhan entirely!!!

Remember all: This is a court case and Court Documents... much like a chess game, many moves, counter moves, etc. The final outcome is not always visible from any one particular move.

I fully agree with yoou amiga inc. seems to be really dishonest.

As for the upcomign court appeal I woudl not worry a bit. Basically morphos already won and an appeal rarely works in clear cut cases as this.

    jsut my 2 cents.

You have my vote for complete ignorance of the subject on Morphzone and modding of posts that try to raise the discussion.

It's best kept to the rumormills and rumor-mongers, since it takes forever for any 'facts' to come out and even then we're left reading between the li(n)es.

    Let's leave it out guys.

    Steve :-)

In essence I agree with JKD, but more specifically...

Talking about it and speculating about this topic is fine, afterall we are a public forum. I just don't want someone to find a giant long thread bashing "the other side."

It would be silly to ask folks not to talk about the "topic of the day." I only ask that we be mindful not to to start a mudslinging contest. There is enough of that going on without MZ adding more wood to the fire.

    Hello guys and girls,

I started this thread only for getting some news of what is going on.

It's now clear what's going on, so shall we go on doing more interesting stuff with our Peggy's? :-)

Hooligan, did you get your Peggy today?

    Bye,

About modding.. my take on this. I will not touch anything unless we're talking about very extreme comments.

You can ask questions from BB&RV, critisize Genesi, critisize Hyperion, Critisize Amiga Inc., or critisize MZ modding, but please do it by using your brains.

In other words, politely and with good argument.

    Interesting day its been, huh!?

....but you are right, it would be a silly thing to mod for, then we'd be as draconian as some other forum I can think of. :D

You are right Steve, no reason to "mod" it here, but also no reason to pollute this site. We will deliver the knockout punch tomorrow through the appropriate jurisdiction. ;-)
