    Hi

I have an usb laserject printer connected to the network trough an printerserver and fix ip address. I tried to connect the printer trough netprinter device but unsuccessfully.
Obviously it works with W$ systems, but not with my mini.
Is there any advice on how to solve the problem or simply it does not work?

    thanks

    Try in NetPrinter-Preferences: Protocol:direct

You first need information on the protocol. Direct is indeed an easy way to check, as it is the simplest stuff.

In LPR Mode you need to know the exact pipe name used by the print server. You should consult the documentation and the webinterface of the printserver for this information.

Direct is the one I tried and does not work. LPR I need to investigate as suggested.
    Thanks

Have you defined netprinter.device also in Printer prefs? I have these kinds of configs for NetPrinter and Printer prefs... then you can print for example directly with TurboPrint or as postscript (with programs where you have such option) to NETPAR: (faster, but you'll have to mount it) or PRT:
