    Yooo,

    Think I may of aquired too much MOS hardware. Today alone a 2.7 G5 came in the mail which I bought off ebay for $120 shipped. Picked up another 2.7 G5 from Reno for $80. Month ago bought me a G5 2.7. Few days ago bought a 2.0 G5 for giggles.

    Months ago before G5 support was announced, aquired x3 Mac MDD, one being FW800. Picked up more accelerator cards, more Radeon 9800 Pro cards flashed for mac, spare motherboard, etc...

    No reason really. After buying everything, still spent less than 1/3 of a new x1000. :) ;-) Now I have plenty of backups for running MorphOS. 8-)

    Anyone else have excessive amount of MOS hardware?

    Last week I had to stop myself from buying 3x G5 Powermac (various) spares/repairs for £100* on Ebay, only a 45 mile drive from my house. It seems like only yesterday that I had a large pile of Amiga hardware taking up most of a small bedroom. I don't need to start hoarding again. :-)

    Mac-mini, Powerbook and 2xEfika is my limit. (for now)

    * That's £100 for all three, not each. :-)

    Pretty good find! :) Yea, i want to test various things on the G5 2.7 along with repairing/fixing the LCS. The G5 that came in the mail today actually had the newest revised LCS cooler in it, and showed no signs of leaking (without taking it out completely to look underneath it.)

    Not sure if doing the passive heatsink conversion was a smart idea, but nonetheless it did for now.... I will repair the LCS and refill it again and see temperatures afterwards.

    @Doffo,

    I expect to see you at the 2013 AmiWest Show in Oct. with at least one or two of your MorphOS computers to display, so I can bring less of mine, but we can still show off the same number of models, or more at the table. I also need your help during the show answering questions that people have and possibly doing a presentation.

    I understand the temptation to get more and more hardware. It's cheap and memory of the time when Amiga/MorphOS hardware was rather scarce and expensive is still fresh. Currently I set up my Powerbook and will register it next days and hope it will become an actually used additional machine. My main system is a Mac mini. There's also my Efika picture frame that gets used only seldomly and the Pegasos is collecting dust at the attic. Four machines are more than enough for me, maybe a g5 will get added later (caught myself looking for prices at a well known action site), but honestly I think my current four devices are really more than enough.

    I envision a multiple monitor work station with hardware and morph to drive them. What is someone's "trash" is a another's "treasure".
    Perhaps a cd for multiple morphs :)

    Now I don't feel so bad. I've only got one 2.5 G5, a 1 .4GHz Quicksilver G4, an Fw800 MDD, and a 1.67 Powerbvook.
    Say, how many computers can we use at once?

    Lol. I only have one hooked up at the moment. :) So I will say one at a time.

    @amigadave

    Thanks for the suggestion... I got time to ponder on it if it would even work out cause honestly I am not all too technical about MorphOS to be taking any kind of questions. :) Mainly I am just using a bunch of Mac hardware and testing/repairing the ones that people have high doubts on or concerns. I believe Sacramento is about 3 hours from here. But I will think about it. :)

    I currently got:

    2 x Pegasos 1
    2 x MDD PowerMacs
    1 x Efika
    1 x PowerBook
    1 x Amiga 1200 PPC

    There are strong and well.

    Plus:

    1 x PowerMac G5 needs a proper gfx card for MOS.
    1 x Pegasos 2 broken hoping to get it fixed. :(
    1 x Amiga 4000 PPC -on assemble process-
    1 x Amiga 1200 PPC -on assemble process-.

    Is it a Pegasos 2 system? If yes, have in mind that I am after sych a system but on a reasonable price. Better for it to find and good home than to collect dust!

    Efika Picture frame??? Well that is a cool idea!!!! Want to see photos!

    Sacramento is almost an 8 hours drive for me from Big Bear Lake, CA, where I currently live, so your 3 hour drive is less than half of mine. Please consider joining me at the 2013 AmiWest Show this Oct. The show is being extended again this year, and will also have a longer programming seminar just prior to the actual show start. You can contact me personally at my earthlink.net email address. Just use my nickname here and @earthlink.net to send me a message, so we can discuss this idea further. The AmiWest shows are always great fun and a good opportunity to meet and make new friends with other Amiga users. More and more people are getting interested in MorphOS3.x at the AmiWest shows, and you don't have to be a technical wizard with MorphOS to answer a few questions about it. I certainly am not any kind of expert with MorphOS, but I do my best to promote it each year. I really hope you can fit coming to AmiWest this year into your schedule, but please contact me via email anyway.

    No, it's my old trusty Peg1 April 1 - served me quite some years and has barely no marked value anymore. I rather keep it as backup system and for nostalgia.

    Oh, while I'm here, I've got

    a: Pegasus 1 (which I'm getting rid of)
    b: 1 Pegasus 2 (with a triple boot of MorphOS, OS4,1, and some linux thingy), nice machine, I like this one.
    c: FW 800 Dual 1.42 Powermac, with a errr. whatever the fastest graphics card without 3D support you can get. Nice but so very, noisy. changed the fans, done me best, still noisy.
    d: MacMini the silent upgraded version, I Like this one, small quiet, does every thing I want in a neat package. I did have a standard one, but the increased graphics memory is nice.
    e: Efika, cough... nice idea. But no, I'm going to sell this one.
    f: 15" Powerbook, nice! It's what I'm using now. With a solid State Harddrive silent, which is nice.
    g: 17" Powerbook, got lucky on eBay. I prefer the 15" model as it's too big, slighty thinner, but not err.. lap friendly
    h: Cube. *cough* *cough* Not registered, don't quite know what to do with this.

    I've also got an 12" ibook, errr. someplace.

    I've got too much stuff. I know..

    Oh and a Powermac Quad 2.5 with a Radeon graphics card, which probably won't work with MorphOS :(
