I thought Kryptos was actually Truecrypt so I gave it a try and it worked.
Created a small FAT volume on a usb drive, plugged the drive into windows and mounted with truecrypt.
    worked fantastic.
in fact, morph os created the volume instantly.
windows takes up to 4 hours to format a volume.
i assume Kryptos just doesnt bother to encrypt every sector immediately.

Does Kryptos support encrypting the boot drive in Morph OS?

I am very intrigued by this software now.

Only drawback I see is NTFS is not supported.
I assume NTFS is read only for morph?
Or it is just not programmed into Kryptos.

    Thanks for porting Truecrypt.
Best feature ever, next to OWB.

    My apologies.
I chose QUICK vs NORMAL format thus Kryptos formatted quite quickly.

You can use any file system with Kryptos. And there is fuse NTFS which is able to read and write.

Cyrpting the boot partitionis the only feature which is not supported, as it would require truecrypt code to be installed in RDB. The second missing feature is to create a shadow partition. You can use/access such partitions with MorphOS once created with windows, but there is no way to create them with MorphOS.

However you can crypt any other partition or even create virtual volumes using a filedisk, which is the way I prefer.

Kryptos format takes as long as when using windows. It requires all data blocks to be filled with random stuff to ensure maximum security. Of course a small usb stick will format faster than a big hard drive and quick format is for sure enough, but the prior drive/partition randomize process always takes a while, especially when it comes to several GB in size.

    I have installed ntfs3g
I have modified prefs->mount and selected the ntfs3g driver to automount ntfs volumes.

When I mount the windows truecrypt volume I am offered ntfs in a drop down.,
I end up with a disk that is read only.

Anyway to get Kryptos to use ntfs3g instead?
