    FROM MorphOS Library
    Author: Jason Grenier

We have <sbp2.device0>a Lacie External Firewire 160Gb formatted as FAT32* *HDConfig has it
    Part0 ---- - Part1
    200MB--- 153.06 GB
    [OXEE] --- FAT32o
    ------------ NODOS

FAT32 and Amiga Protection Bits ?????
FAT32 cannot store Amiga file protection bits ?????
A solution is to to create an SFS DISK IMAGE on the FAT32 Partition?? I asume that would be Part1 ????

    Says use Kryptos? ok

Here is where it gets leery :-D
According to HDConfig it is <sbp2.device0> BUT there is also <ide.device:0> the hard drive in the Mac Mini.

There appears a menu Devices 1thu 15 with CREATE NEW I dont want ide.device to get screwed up so I am heading to the manual Krptos

Have any crawled through this before?????? :-D

You could just create an lha archive of your setup, and copy that to the fat32 partition.

Osco: your drive doesn't respond in time (timeout=3500ms) to a SCSI_INQUIRY command.
This command returns some drive information.
Maybe the HD itself (not the controler for sure) is in a sleep state and need dome time to wakeup.
Unfortunately it's not possible to change the timeout value.
Maybe the drive doesn't follow the SCSI protocol... maybe ... maybe ...
    And now... next project!

Osco: you should know that not all IO commands are not documented.
Some applications use unknown, not standard, etc, IO commands.
So it really depends on application used.

To be sure, please test with MorphOS "Copy" function.
More raw, try also with HDRead.

    Merci
Will do....As of yestrday the Firewire drive has had 7GB copied to it.
Will use Ram: on the mini as an intermediate to see it improves performance
Right now its 350MB from the interal IDE to the external firewire.
    A Votre Sante
