I was one of the people watching some of the streams available last week and I'm sorry to dissapoint you but at anytime I watched a stream there where only like around 50 people watching. Not excactly what I would call worldwide exposure.

And you watched the stream for how long and at what time of the day/night?

I am sure that many Amiga users watched (or attempted to watch this year) the streaming content from the AmiWest Show. Due to some technical difficulties, the streaming content was not as good as it could have been. Hopefully next year it will be much better at the other location.

I don't consider 5 to 10 negative responses a great percentage of the world wide MorphOS users.

You are not getting response from world wide users. You are getting response from readers of this thread. Its up to you to decide whether they present the "world wide users" or not. I can slam money on the table for someone to fly to US, it's not that. I just think of the larger picture than one event in 2013.

I actually watched quite a lot (day and night), I only stopped watching when the hehehehe, hahahaha guy was talking, it just was unbearable to listen to (just like previous years). Technical difficulties or not there's just not a lot of animo apparently. I could watch most of it, there where some problems with sound failing but most of the time it was ok.

Finally a voice of reason, instead of all the misconceptions from people who have never attended any AmiWest Show. Believe me when I say going to AmiWest in person is very different than what you see in pictures, or even on parts of the video feed from the show.

Sorry but I have been to Amiwest.

Don't take someone's different opinion as a slam on you. Opinions are like butt-holes, we all have one.

If you re-read my post I did not say I thought what you were doing was bad or would it be a bad idea to have a MorphOS team member available. On the contrary I said I respect your work trying to promote MorphOS at Amiwest.

One MorphOS programmers moved to Canada a few months ago... Once he will be well established in his new life, one may imagine he may have an opportunity (and the will!) to attend Amiwest in the future.
Although I fear this may still be a very long and expensive travel from his location...

Well, that IS a lot closer.
I really don't think David's suggestion is unrealistic.
And now that you mention it, traveling from Canada would not present that much more difficulty then my traveling from the East coast of the United States.
