I want to set up the vnc server on my Mac mini morphos install.

    1) How can I find the internal ip address in morphOS. I have it set to DHCP.

    2) how do I set a login password for MorphOS?

    2) The password for VNC connections can be set under the "settings" tab in the VNCServer programme itself.

That's funny, works here. Copy/Paste from my shell:

    New Shell process 6
    Ram Disk:> ifconfig
    lo0: flags=c9<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,NOARP> MTU=16436
    inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000
    Hardware type: Loopback

    eth0: flags=4863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,SANA> MTU=1500
    inet 192.168.1.66 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
    Hardware type: Ethernet, address: 0:14:51:17:76:de

    Use "ifconfig -h" for usage.
    Ram Disk:>

You could always specify a static ip under Settings->System->Network.

I was typing it wrong. I was using iPconfig, not ifConfig. I got the ip address but cannot connect using macbook pro "Chicken of the Sea". have the VNC app password set. It simply times out. i'll try on a windows machine to try to narrow it down.
