Anyone else had a look at this multiple emulation hardware self-contained unit. Looks very interesting including Amiga emulation mode beta, and at a great price point. I'm not sure, but it does seem to lack networking potential, unless one can somehow utilize the "mini USB Battery or external power supply support" for networking (I am sure this would take some development). The homepage is here: MCC-216.. There's an eBay online shop, as well I spotted some more traditional web-online retailers (do a search) if you are more comfortable with that.

The Amiga emulation, including graphics and sound, appeared to perform surprisingly well in the videos I watched. It looked to me to be playing 68000-level games and demos just as well as a stock 500, performance-wise. The loads I'd say were even faster, maybe only because the floppy-disk hardware has been virtualized.

Networking, it has I noticed not only the micro-USB for power, but also a standard 1.1 USB port. So it appears to have the potential to network, assuming Cloanto or someone writes the driver.

    AmIRC or AWeb 3.2, anyone?

AmIRC 3.5 needs at least OS2.x, AWeb 3.2+ needs even OS3.x. So far it seems the MCC-216 can't even run OS1.3 properly:

In the not-distant future the MCC-216 might be able to run some network and Internet apps. At its discussion forum Frederic says he's updating the core this week: "I was busy working on the next beta Amiga core and on the future 68k core. There will be a new beta soon (within one week), compatibility should be better."

I know this is a MorphOS website but most are also interested in new classic Amiga developments.
