the 9000pro is way faster than the 9250 so these numbers make no sense to me. is this the same powermac tested with 2 cards or 2 different mac?

yes, but this is the real test (sure It's the same FW800 machine, an note that my 9250 card is seen in MorphOS as an 9200Pro).
Infact when flashed I used ROM for 9200 Macintosh card (works corretly DVI and VGA in MorphOS, OSX, Linux)

Maybe this speed difference is due to a slight "incompatiblity" of the used Mac BIOS for the reflashing process? I know that there are many cases, where this process gives good results, but often there are some issues, resulting in gfx garbage (or maybe in your case) speed losses. I've got a reflashed Radeon 8500, which works quite ok in MorphOS, but doesn't work reliable in Mac OS X, and gives some gfx garbarge if used in overlay mode. This come from the not 100% (maybe only 98 or 99%...) compatible ROM used for reflashing. There are no such issues with the original Mac Radeon 9000 pro I'm using now.

ok, 128bit r9250, still, it should be slower than a 9000pro (also 128bit afaik).
but the new pmac agp g4@400 results also intresting as it has almost the same fps as the pegasos g4@1000 and actually faster at the highest resolution (with the same card according to the page).
