You're safe as long as MorphOS doesn't use the 2nd CPU - if it ever does: bye bye NAP mode. NAP can only work reliably with 1 CPU (and Apple actually doesn't use NAP on 2 CPU Power Macs as well).

Hi, I noticed that there is an Urltext.mcc and Urltext.mcp but I can't see an entrance in MUI settings for that. Normal? or did I miss something?

    Yup, you missed something.
    From the releasenotes:

    Quote:

    Classes/MUI/Hyperlink.#? [NEW]

A new MUI custom class for user-configurable URI objects.
Supports all URI schemes supported by the OpenURL system.

Handles additional URI schemes (amigados:, workbench:, etc.)

Includes a wrapper for obsolete legacy class 'Urltext.mcc'
Thanks for the info :-)

I guess it's a relatively simple chip register setting, rather than the seed of a greater "MorphOS Power Management" project then?

I updated my 2.5 MacMini installation tonight and it didn't work. I boots to about the part when the bootpic should display (blue butterfly), then just quits. I tried a second update with the same results. I copied back the 2.5 MorphOS directory and it boots up just fine but now indicates I have 2.7 installed! I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I still do not understand, sorry. Shouldn't I have an entrance in MUI settings, where I can change prefs, like with Lamp, or PowerTerm or any other?

    @RMS:
I tried to scan other classes in General MUI prefs and I found UrlText settings. But all I could do is read this message:
Urltext is obsolete. Any urltext.mcc or urltext-mcp in SYS:Classes/MUI can be safely deleted.

The 2.7 indicates that you have successfully installed the 2.7 boot.img onto your boot-partition, everything else is probraly still 2.5.

When you had the full 2.7 installed, how did it "quit" ? Unresponsive ? Something on the screen ? Instant reboot ?

Did you try to access the earl-startup-menu ? And if so what happens on boot with out startup-sequence ?

That's exactly what I tried to explain, I deleted the old URLText.mcc and URLText.mcc in
System:classes/MUI so that only the ones are left in MorphOS/classes/MUI, but now here
there isn't any entrance for URLText in General MUI prefs. So I wanted to know why.

My MacMini never got to the Ambient screen. It looks like it gets to about the part when a bootpic (the blue butterfly) should be displayed, then the hard drive eventually stops. It doesn't look like a crash or hang, it just stops. Unfortunately, it doesn't go further, so I can't see at what point it has stopped. It responds to Option-Apple-Apple for reboot.

I did no other diagnositics (because I wasn't sure what to do), so I rebooted with the CD-Rom, copied back my MorphOS directory and re-booted thinking I would be back to 2.5.

Placing a blank cd in a external usb drive still freezes the system! Why is this not important enough to fix? you can't dub, or copy to external usb drive, (though it reads data fine) If your internal drive goes, then forget about burning anything! This has now been an issue since 2.2 :-?

Because you now have to use the Hyperlink class prefs. That's what Lizard wanted to tell you.

so if I understood that correctly, I do delete the Urltext.mcc and Urltext.mcp in System:Classes/ so that there are only the ones in MorphOS/Classes/ left.
