Magnetic, I don't know if you've noticed, but you're the only one that has objected to this off-topic exchange. And, if you'd paid attention, you might have noticed that relates to developments that both Andreas and I already know about, but that JCMarcos and a few others are just learning about .
And, in a way, it does relate to the general theme of developments in MorphOs hardware.

I REALLY object to your calling Andreas an arrogant loser. Except for Frank (Pega-1) I can't think of a better informed poster on this site. Numerous times I have consulted Andreas both on the forum and via PMs. His knowledge has always proven accurate, and his advice has been invaluable.
Sure, he's managed to piss me off a few times. He doesn't suffer fools llightly and has a deep respect for accuracy.I put up with the occasional barb because I usually deserve it.

Your post was an unwarranted personal attack and the only part I can agree with is what you said asbout matt/niko..

    You need to lighten up.

Lighten up my ass. its way off topic and has NOTHING to do with Morphos. And You are certainly "uneducated" again if you think that Andreas is the most informed person on here beside Pega1... oh boy are you uninformed... You obviously have NO idea who is on this site and what they may know.

Its the Arrogant attitude and attacking nature we are not used to on this site. and I can tell you that there are others that share this belief. And if you go back and read other forum posts where I intervened with Amigadave ( a really nice guy) and andreas you will say I give him so respect for posting and helping but this know it all attitude has to stop. And so much the incessant posting links its quite annoying...

Oh... It's fight time again. Although I find Thomas quite rude, in fact he is right: Your never ending debate about hypothetical CPUs is really off topic, and has nothing to do with MorphOS. Read again this thread's title, please.

But of course, it's interesting, and deserves its own thread.

In the other hand, I find it very natural that threads "degenerate" like this, we've all seen it a hundred times. When I say "degenerate" I mean both the esoterical tech talk and personal attacks.

But please guys, didn't that "You're my prophet" phrase you came to write made you realize yourselves that this got way too far? :-D

Now, let someone find a funny picture for that. But that one with the muppets set the bar very high!

Black forest is my current favorite biking area. Never came across Chemnitz on my routes up and down each peak and height there though...

Any other news related to Bad Bramstedt meeting?

@ Thread yeah it got hijacked. Jim and Andreas should open a new thread. Some OT in a thread is no problem, but half the thread OT is way too much.

@ Magnetic: Zylesea was refering to you bad knowlage about germany the black forest in germany has nothing todo with the city Andreas is living. It's like i would say LA is somewhere in the Virginia.

@ Jim: You have no idea who pega-1 is, otherwise you wouldn't write he is the second best informed guy on this forum.

I was in Bad Bramstedt to it was a nice meeting like all the years befor. Guruman did a great summry about the meeting. I had some nice smaltalk with him about our meeting and the Pianata in italy. And it's nice to have some international guests on our meeting. Like Guruman or MorphDelf(Amitopia) and Bigfoot and the other ppl i forget to mention.

    > It was a joke

Moving my home town into the Black Forest is really funny ...not. There must be some cultural differences regarding humour I guess ;-)

    > I'm sure i'm not the only one who tires of your silly constant posting on

I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't care for you being tired of that. If you don't like my replies then either don't post to this public forum or simply ignore them. Easy.

    > Why dont you do like everyone else and post your own

You can do that with your ignorant attitude ("up your ass", that is).

    > I dont know if you are a help here or a "virus"

I think you said before that I'm a "bot" and a "web spider" :-)

    > now you have pissed me off

    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=7524&forum=9&post_id=78957#78957 ;-)

    > since the inception of mz i have never said any post like this

You did, but you edited it out (after I read it).

    > so dont call me ignorant

As soon as you stop calling me arrogant.

    > you tosser.

Maybe you should go back to self-censoring yourself like you did before.

    > Its the Arrogant attitude

I think you're mistaken. It's not me comparing myself to the likes of pega-1 in terms of being informed (how could I ever be nearly as informed as a MorphOS Team member?), it's *others* doing so. I'd never state anything like this or go as far as seconding such. And I think I stated clearly that I find calling me "prophet" and such highly inappropriate and that I don't like that at all. So how does that make me arrogant then?

    > attacking nature we are not used to on this site.

I second that. And the only one attacking and insulting I can see here is you.

    > you will say I give him so respect for posting and helping

You mean respectful expressions like "stfu"?

    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=7519&forum=11&post_id=78758#78758

    > this know it all attitude has to stop.

What exactly do you mean by "know it all attitude"? I'd really like to understand where you're coming from with that.

    > And so much the incessant posting links

Huh? Why on earth should one stop posting links on the WWW? Leveraging the hyperlink concept is essentially what the WWW was invented for. And as you might have guessed, I like it very much :-)

"Guys"? "Yourselves"? Why the plural? I see only one single person who wrote that in this thread. And I see that the recipient objected to it (just in case that went unnoticed).

I second that. Let's see where *exactly* it started being hijacked. My bet would be that:

    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=7532&forum=3&post_id=79239#79239

    Any other bets?

    > You have no idea who pega-1 is, otherwise you wouldn't write he

I think Jim said it the other way round, i.e. me being the second best informed guy after pega-1 (which isn't true either of course). Furthermore, I believe that Jim knows who pega-1 is:

Andreas, it's clear that you got too angry to take my joke easy. Are you sure you had to pinpoint it out too? I fail to see why...

(And now it's me contributing to this thread's off topic - sorry)

I'm not angry at all, just inquisitive :-) But you're right in that I fail to see the joke in using plural instead of proper singular.

    > Are you sure you had to pinpoint it out too? I fail to see why...

Yes, I am, and I can surely tell you why: I want to prevent others from coming to the false conclusion that I'd appreciate being called a "prophet" or any nonsense like this as that would be grist for certain people's mill who seem to be on a mission to ascribe an arrogant attitude to me. I'm afraid your use of plural is suited to help make others come to this false conclusion. Let me assure you that I'm really eager to refute even the slightest bit that could create any ambiguity regarding that matter.

I completely appologize for the prophet comment. It was meant to be tongue in cheek.
Andreas has been very helpful to me and I find his references very useful.
Also, of course I know who Frank is and I greatly respect his opinions and look forward to the news he releases.

I don't understand the hostility that these series of posts has generated.
Normally I expect a higher level of discourse on MorphZone.

    Accepted.

While I don't understand the reason for this either, I can clearly spot the source.

    @Kronos

1st idea: a small sbar "panel" with 16x16 icons or an sbar that shows/un-hides a sub-panel under the title bar. I think it would feel more integrated with the system and would save precious screen space :-)

2nd idea: an option to bring to front panels when you reach bottom of screen, no matter the windows you have currently on top of it.

3rd idea: when mouse is not on top of panel reduce the size of panel to half normal size (e.g. 24x24 icons) and when mouse is on top of panel make it recover its original size (e.g. 48x48)
