Any possiblity of taking the OWB engine and adding it the OS so apps like Yam and Simplemail can render HTML internally?

    P.S. Having issue with openurl.
    Yam calls 'openurl %p'.
Only works with the OWB web broswer is already running.
Default settings are to launch OWB if not running.
None of the default settings are working.
OWB does not launch. OWB does not open a new tab, etc...

Confucious say: When one upgrades to a new copy of OWB one should change the path to the new broswer in OpenURL in Prefs.
    Then openurl will launch app.

    :-?

I see you expected MorphOS and its applications being more integrated than they are...

Not sure what you mean here. By default OpenURL settings are correct and work whether OWB is running or not. Now, if you moved OWB path and didn't reflect it in prefs, it obviously won't start anymore (but it will still work if the browser is already running).

I have quite a few folders with different versions of
OWB. Guess I need to keep it in one folder from now on.

I simply keep my current version of OWB in "fu:bar/OWB".

When Fab releases a new version, I rename this drawer (in list view, so as not to rename the drawer icon also) to OWB.old.1.10 (or whatever the version).
I then rename the folder of the new version from OWB-rc_1.11 (or whatever the default name is) to OWB, thus preserving all path preferences.

This approach also makes it easy to compare different releases if something goes wrong (is it a bug in the new version, or have I changed some settings inadvertantly?).

    Regards

    Rich

PS - on the original topic, in the short term would it be easier to develop a mail client which dynamically generates html pages as a GUI (similar to the MLDonkey web interface).
