    hi,

I use to connect IPhone 3G Apple in MorphOS2.5 via USB, to copy in MorphOS the images/pictures inside.

Many times I need to connect and remove the IPhone, because only few times It's mounted the volume.

    Details:

-few times I see the mounted volume and all subdirectories and file inside

    - sometimes I see the mounted volume but no way to enter in the subdirectories with file.
If I go in shell I can see only:
    Apple iPhone:> ls -al
    total 0
    dr-x------ 2 nobody nogroup 1024 Jan 1 1978 .
    drwxrwxrwx 3 miky wheel 1024 Jan 1 1970 ..

    - many times I don't see mounted volume (I can only input in shell: unmount "Apple iPhone:")

this is the log in Poseidon:

0-poseidon.library: Device 'iPhone' says it is currently bus-powered. Fixing config.
0-hub.class: New device 'iPhone' at port 2. Very nice.
0-ptp.class: Hold still for images from for 'iPhone'!
0-ptp.class: Model 'Apple iPhone' by 'Apple Inc.'.
    0-ptp.class: Camera Version '3.1.3', Serial '88932W92Y7H'.
10-ptp.class: Reading Response failed: nak timeout (10)!
10-ptp.class: Command 'OpenSession' (1002) response failed: nak timeout (10)!
10-ptp.class: Command 'GetStorageIDs' (1004) failed: nak timeout (10)!

Does I need to configure something in Poseidon to "save right setting" when the Iphone is correctly mounted in MorphOS ?

    thanks a lot
    regards

Check out the manual for posedion and try some of those suggestions. My Palm Pre is recognized nicely but Morphos :)

when volume mounted correctly and subdirectories and file are OK, I have in Poseidon:

0-poseidon.library: Device 'iPhone' says it is currently bus-powered. Fixing config.
0-hub.class: New device 'iPhone' at port 4. Very nice.
0-ptp.class: Hold still for images from for 'iPhone'!
0-ptp.class: Model 'Apple iPhone' by 'Apple Inc.'.
    0-ptp.class: Camera Version '3.1.3', Serial '88932W92Y7H'.
5-Trident: Forcing a DirScan for (new) classes, as you probably updated to a newer version.
0-poseidon.library: The door bell rang for moschipeth.class V4.4 (Ethernet SANA driver for MosChip MCS7830 chipset via usbmoschipeth.device (MOS)).

and, yes, in shell I have now the right "Internal Storage" subdirectory

    boot:> "Apple iPhone:"
    Apple iPhone:> ls -al
    total 1
    drwx------ 2 nobody nogroup 1024 Jan 1 1978 .
    drwxrwxrwx 3 miky wheel 1024 Jan 1 1970 ..
drwx------ 2 nobody nogroup 1024 Oct 3 11:39 Internal Storage

well, after It's correctly working I have tried these in Poseidon:

    -first "Unbind"
// 0-ptp.class: Still pictures of 'iPhone' became fugitive!

    -then "Class Scan"
// 0-ptp.class: Hold still for images from for 'iPhone'!
0-ptp.class: Model 'Apple iPhone' by 'Apple Inc.'.
    0-ptp.class: Camera Version '3.1.3', Serial '88932W92Y7H'.

    -then "Powercycle"
// 0-hub.class: Zapping device 'iPhone' at port 4!
10-ptp.class: Command 'CloseSession' (1003) failed: response timeout (6)!
0-ptp.class: Still pictures of 'iPhone' became fugitive!
0-poseidon.library: Device 'iPhone' says it is currently bus-powered. Fixing config.
0-hub.class: Device 'iPhone' returned. Happy happy joy joy.
0-ptp.class: Hold still for images from for 'iPhone'!
0-ptp.class: Model 'Apple iPhone' by 'Apple Inc.'.
    0-ptp.class: Camera Version '3.1.3', Serial '88932W92Y7H'.
Error 10-ptp.class: Reading Response failed: nak timeout (10)!
Error 10-ptp.class: Command 'OpenSession' (1002) response failed: nak timeout (10)!
Error 10-ptp.class: Command 'GetStorageIDs' (1004) failed: nak timeout (10)!

    @all
if possibile, I'd like to solve this "silly" problem :-) If It works perfectly sometimes, sure (I hope) there is a way to FORCE it to works always correctly :-) but I don't know if I need to modify/edit something to "force it correctly".
I use many times Iphone for photos and It' very useful preview mode of Ambient to view and take the pictures inside.

    thanks for the support
    regards
