    Hi. People uses MorphOS in different ways, but there is always tricks and tips to make other use MorphOS in a better way?

    For me... I always choose in Ambient Prets -> Miscellanous -> Double click on desktop opens MyMorphos view. This helps me a lot as it turns MorphOS into a Dopus Magellan light.

    With this you can click twice anywhere on your desktop and a Ambient lister shows up. This makes it much faster to browse or copy things as you can always open another lister anywhere. I find it faster than clicking on the HD partition and then click on each icon... This also helps when you want to rename something very fast. Double Click on desktop, browse fast to the file you want to rename and click mousewheel button. Then you can edit directly.

    Hope this helps someone :) Come with more tips and tricks... :)

    Nice idea for a thread :-)

    When copying files uisng Ambeint drag'n'drop, I don't like it when the 'source' window becoming unresponsive. To allow the window to continue responding edit Sys:prefs/ambeint/advanced.conf as follows:
    change:
    Quote:

    ; donotputrefwindowtosleep =

    to read:
    Quote:

    donotputrefwindowtosleep = true

    Thanks to Fab for pointing that one out to me.

    PS - The header of this file states:
    Quote:

    ; This file was created automatically. For a description of all options
    ; check out MOSSYS:Ambient/prefs/Advanced.conf,default.

    However, MOSSYS:Ambient/prefs/Advanced.conf,default does not exist (should it also read "MOSSYS:Ambient/prefs/Advanced.conf.default"? ("." not ",")).
    MOSSYS:Ambient/prefs/Advanced.conf.bak does exist and contains the same header, but likewise with no descriptions of the functions.

    Regards
