Hey guys,
I've been testing a WebMail plugin on MorphZone for some time now, and I'de like to open it up to about another ten or so beta-testers to see how the server will react to the extra load, and if the system is stable enough to put into general usage.
Here is how it is set up:
1. You will have to provide your own POP3 account, your ISP usually provides this. If you don't have an ISP, check with hotpop.com.
1.a. You will need to create an account name for it's use on MZ (this allows MZ to provide multiple accounts for the same user. For beta testing this is limited to two accounts).
1.b. You will need your POP3 server name. If you don't know this, don't apply.
1.c. You will need your POP3 User/Pass. (this is stored cryptographically, and in a secure format.)
1.d. If your server has a different than the normal POP port number (eg, usually 110), you will need to know that.
2. MorphZone can handle the SMTP side of things for sending mail.
3. The reply address to any email sent will be the one in your MZ user profile, and is not part of the mail-settings.
4. You can view some attachements, but not others (I think it depends on the format).
5. You cannot send attachments, sorry.
6. There is an addressbook in the system.
If you can handle all of the above, and would like to test out the webmail, post a reply to this post!
Remember, I'm only going to give about ten more people the ability to beta-test this thing
Further, there is no promise that it will make it into full general usage (as it could very well fail the tests).
Anyway, I hope some of you are interested in testing it out
