    Hi All.

Is ther a way to do Audio recording i.e Audio In on a Mac Mini, Im guessing some sort of usb device but are there any supported.

Given the mini only has two usb slots and Im currrently using bboth for keyboard and mouse ( im guessing could just buy cheap usb hub) , but do bluettoh keyboards and mice work? Was under impression bluetooth and wirelss on min not supported ? If Keyboards and mice work whaich ones to get?

    Thanks

Bluetooth KBD/mice seems to be supported by the Mini's OF as some sort of fake USB units (just like some PC-BIOSes will fake PS/2 devices out of USB). Poseidon can than catch these (OF)devices as USB-Hids.

You need to "marry" the devices to the Mini under OSX before they become useable in OF (and MorphOS).

    Atleast thats the urban myth.

Thanks for the reply. Seems a bit of a risk buying the keyboard and mouse, would be cheaper to buy a USb hub :)

    Anyone know about Audio ?

There is a usb device called the iMic from griffin that allowed an audio input for the mini. No support for it via Morphos, as far as I know. There are others as well...I think the garageband tool from M-Audio, the iControl also had a mic line in along with its other, "odd" features and functionality (but not quite sure).

Hubs are the way to go. Maybe the nice aluminium Apple keyboard A1242 (although I kind of miss the delete key) with inbuild hub (two connectors). Many monitors have inbuild usb hubs which is rather handy (no ugly hub floating around, I use a Dell 2209WA brilliant picture and 4times hub).
Anyway usb does not solve the problem that there is no way to record audio directly with MorphOS on the mini. MorphOS lacks drivers that support the isochronous usb protocol. My approach: I use my good old iRiver IHP 120 for recording and just pass the files to the mini. Not always the best solution, but delivers high quality and is mobile.
