It would be nice to have a show of some sort for Amiga/Morphos on the east coast. We haven't had one in a while. I propose that the few of us out here (not researching your nicks right now) but [MD, NC,DE,VA,NY,PA,] have some kind of meeting or brain storming to discuss practical use of Morphos, exchange ideas, and optimal setup on the various machines. Yes we could devote an irc chat night, but having the physical interaction would be great.
Dover Downs In Delaware would be a great median, using one of its conference rooms.
Just a thought unless something is already planned in the fore seeable future.

I am up to any sort of event, I am nearby (well sorta) in VA, and I was always thinking about organizing one, but I was thinking Richmond has some good places to host events too, plus, its more central than Delaware is. I was thinking maybe renting out a large pavilion sort of area? If I am to lug my load of AMiga/MOS stuff, we'd also need an area large enough with plenty of receptacles to plug all the computers in. But I'm all for it, just give us all a few months notice.
    My Macs:
    Powerbook G4 ALU 1.5GHZ 15" 1.5GB OSX.5.8
    Powermac G4 MDD 1.5GHZ OSX.5.8 MOS2.7

Want a part for a Mac? Let me know, I'll see what I can do.

Amithlon is amazing, questions and help I can provide.

All important Wi-Fi where ever it would be. Have to be able to use OWB1.8 to stream the world cup :-)
We'll let this marinate with the others.
So for possible locations, we have
    1) Dover Downs
    2) Richmond (possible coliseum

    Xyphoid -

I have often thought of a similar idea as well. Heck a few months ago I was still somewhat searching out some cheap art-space in Philadelphia, PA to have a small gathering for the Aniv. of Amiga deal. :)

I am in and I would rather not wait a year to be honest. Heck - even its just a few of us, a hotel meeting room, wifi, and at night.. a keg I am down.

The last show (amiga east)was in baltimore MD which I attended some,7-8 years ago. Before that, software hut had an open house,(in reading? pa.) where I bought my 1200t.
    1) Dover Downs
    2) Richmond (possible coliseum
    3) PA. (philadelphia?)
I can make the drive east, west north or south if need be.
I have sx-32's, a 500+ untouched, an efika, and the 1200t gathering dust. well the efika powers my mac formatted external usb drive which holds my mame stuff

Redrumloa: Ah you are making a lot of sense. :) Enjoy the new eMac and 2.5 by the way...

Group: Maybe VA would be best for all of us on the East??? Lots of options in Richmond as far as dicounted hotels with meeting room/event rates if we all pitched in or something.

Though if you threw in some orlando theme parks I may be tempted, no need for all of us to do 16+ hours down if we do have this.
    boston-va 9-10hrs
    pa-va 6hr
    de-va 4hrs
    fl-va 12 hrs
    This is by driving naturally

I'm about 20 minutes from Dover, so you can guess my preference. ;)

For kicks I have put out some request for quotes on meeting spaces in Richmond, VA.

There are some NC folks too that maybe could make the trip if we were closer to them.

I will let you know where we clock in at. I figure 20 people, TOPS...right!? hehe
BTW thinking around Sept or October. Oct would probably give better rate being outside the wedding season somewhat.
