I have a HP PSC 950 (multi-function printer), and I have set the printer prefs to use the hp deskjet 950 printer, via the usbparallel.device
I have installed the ultimate pack 1.55, which have ghostscript and ghostscript GUI.
Reading some of the posts here on the forum I was in doubt that my printer would work at all, and trying to print from Apdf or FinalWriter resulted in nothing.
But then I tried the GSGui, and to my joy it printed my pdf files perfectly :)

So now I know that my printer is working.
But what do I need to do in order to get it to print from Apdf or other applications?
