    Hello.

I did borrowed an Efika from a friend, with MorphOS 2.4 and I want to upgrade it to 2.5.
    I can't however, boot from any image : morphos-2.5-efikainstall.img, bootefika.img, boot.img.
It either gives me "Quark/OpenFirmware", and then DARKNESS [like the graphic card would send nothing to the monitor], or gives me a prompt.

MorphOS' 2.4 boot.img can not be used with MorphOS' 2.5 ISO.
If you want to boot using the 2.5 ISO then you must also boot using the 2.5 Efika boot image found inside this MorphOS' 2.5 ISO.

Generally, the new "BootImage" argument used to boot ISO file is reserved to advanced users who know inside out what they are doing :)

As a first step, I suggest you try again using the usual Efika Install image available at http://www.morphos-team.net/downloads.html

You just have to ensure you're booting on the right boot.img. You're likely using old boot.img from hard disk to boot your iso.

Had the same issue on Mac Mini. A requestor popped up telling me that boot.image was to old, and to go to open firmware and type "boot /pci/cd"
That didnt work (the right thing to type is probably what gibs writes in his post above)

But I solved it by setting Mac Mini to boot from the Mac partition by default, and then loading the CD by holding 'C' during startup. Then I was able to upgrade. After that I set it back to boot MorphOS by default.

The first thing I notice about the update is that I now get full 64Mb Vram from start:)
